Sacred Heart and St. Luke offer provide several monthly and annual events for community service and involvement.
Fish Fry: Held one Friday during lent and organized by the Sacred Heart Guild. Meal is served at the Monticello Berndes Center, along with a silent auction, country store, and children’s games. This serves as a major fundraiser for our Parish.
Fair Parking: Organized by the Sacred Heart Guild. Volunteers staff the Sacred Heart Parking lot and green space during the Jones County Fair, and charge a small fee for concert parking. This is another great fundraiser for our Parish.
Fall Festival: Organized by the Sacred Heart Guild. Previous meals have included: smoked pork chops, party potatoes and baked potatoes, homemade applesauce, green beans, pasta salad, assorted break and assorted desserts. The event also serves a kids’ meal and has a country store, bake sale, raffle and children’s games. Typically held in September.
Sacred Heart School Gala: Traditionally held the Saturday before Thanksgiving, the Sacred Heart School Gala is the major fundraiser for our Preschool-4th Grade School. Attendees enjoy a meal along with a live and silent auction.
